Visual Nonsense, a zine synthesizing whatever the high fashion industry is doing and what it says about the future of communication. For these mind-boggling pieces being put out every season by fashion houses like Balenciaga, Gucci, and Vetements, there’s no doubt they’re getting rich inspiration from somewhere. The first installment of Visual Nonsense talks about Balenciaga’s transcendental communication with the world through internet and meme culture, the appropriation of the underground Black Metal aesthetic in the fashion world, and Vetements revitalization of middle school clothing.
